my deal with blockbuster finally went through, and i was able to cancel with NO CHARGE, and all i'm waiting is for 2 more people to do the same, before they SEND ME MY FREE IPOD (to quote the website).
i know i said it before, but here are the steps:
1) sign up for a free hotmail.com email account (to spam guard the bastards), and use it for the site.
2) then, the 'deal' you have to sign up for, select the BLOCKBUSTER one, it's the first on the list. you give your credit card info (don't be paranoid, it's blockbuster guys), and your new hotmail account.
3) it takes about 8-9 days for the freeipods.com site to recognize that you signed up with the blockbuster people (rumor has it, they hand check EVERY offer that you attempt, to make sure you actually did it). this gives you 5-6 days to cancel the blockbuster contract (which i did), at NO COST. i just cancelled mine, and they did not charge my account at all.
4) then you just get 5 friends to sign up through *your* referral link.
this is risk free, guys, you have nothing to lose but 10 minutes of procrastinating online (c'mon, who uses the internet to be productive, honestly).
even if you already have an ipod (hi eddy!), you should do it anyway for the following reason: it takes about a month for you to recieve it, after you're done with the deal (you following me, admiral?), which'll schedule it to arrive here just in time for christmas. and wouldn't that just be the best gift for someone? wouldn't it, eddy? yeah, i'm actually going to give it to my mom, because she was playing with mine a few weeks ago, and she said, "ooh, i really want one of these." then i told her how much it cost. and she laughed, and said, "well forget that."
